So, what/who is Formulate?

Formulate is a company that creates customized shampoo and conditioner using scientifically-proven ingredients that starts with a questionnaire about your unique characteristics, lifestyle, environment, and hair goals.

Their goal is to change the way people purchase personal care products, and they’re starting with shampoo and conditioner. While the customization aspect is a key feature of their products, what is unique about Formulate their ability to make minor modifications and evolve your formulas based on your feedback. They are the first company to allow for this level of customization and product evolution!

All of their ingredients are sourced within the United States and every bottle is hand dispensed and individually mixed! Every ingredient their chemist has selected has scientific research to back it up. And, they never use sulfates, parabens, toxic ingredients, or anything tested on animals.

My Formula

In their questionnaire, I noted that my hair goals are to prevent thinning, prevent split ends, replenish hair, volumize and strengthen. Out of the eight fragrances to choose from, I chose to add the “Burgeon” — smells like blooming orange blossom and y’all, it smells SO GOOD! This was one of their “all natural” options, which I appreciate. What I also appreciate is their ingredient list on their app! For both your shampoo and conditioner, they list the ingredients of each formula, and explain the benefits of each ingredient. Here’s a screenshot of my profile:

After using this formula for about a month, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my hair! It’s fuller, stronger, and I’ve noticed less hair being left behind in my brush. I cannot recommend Formulate’s customizes shampoo and conditioner set enough. I truly love their product and am so happy that I can help promote it!
