Five on Friday

One.

I always feel so accomplished when I can actually do a hair style that I find on Pinterest. With it being so hot this past week, I wanted my hair up but was getting tired of my go-to messy top bun. This style was SO easy and I was able to do it in 3 minutes. I recommend doing this hairstyle with day-old hair and some dry shampoo. All you need are 3 small hair ties, a few bobby pins, and some hairspray (optional). I have a feeling I’ll be rocking this hairstyle all summer long!

Two.

This week we started swim lessons for Navy at our local YMCA. She is such a little fish that I knew this would be a great decision. She absolutely LOVES it and has a cheesy smile on her face the whole time. The instructor is so sweet and really takes her time with the kids. I have no doubt Navy will be swimming on her own the next time we take a vaca back home to FL.

Three.

For Father’s Day, we took another trip to Zoo Knoxville. I can’t rave enough about this zoo – it’s so great for kids! They have a great splash pad and a separate kid’s area that Navy could spend half the day in (petting zoo, playground, small water play area, other small animal exhibits, AND a carousel).

Four.

We took Navy to see Finding Dory on Saturday for her first movie theater experience. We were a little weary since the kid can hardly ever sit still but she sat at watched the whole thing! Trav and I loved it too – our favorite was Hank.

Five.

Have you ever found yourself gazing at your child and realizing how lucky you are? Yeah, that was me this week. I caught myself watching her talk to the barista at the Starbucks in Target. She’s grown into being her own little person – so sweet and smart and getting so independent it’s scary sometimes. It all goes by way too fast!

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope you have a great weekend!

Aren’t they?! This was the first place we’ve taken Navy to that had a splash pad and I can’t believe how much fun she had. We go to the zoo now JUST for the splash pad 🙂 And thank you! I love yours as well!
